Dr. Kinman with California Attorney General Bill Lockyer who signed her
appointment by the Senate Rules Committee on the recommendation of Senator
Hilda Solis to the CALIFORNIA COMMITTEE OF BAR EXAMINERS.
The Committee of Bar Examiners meets every month for two days and
is responsible primarily for the development, administration, and grading
of the California Bar Examination for more than 11,000 applicants; and
the First Year Law Students' Examination for approximately 1,000 applicants
annually.
Was a member of the CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY NETWORKING TASK FORCE
which helped develop the state-wide library plan that is now being implemented
with bonds voted on in March, 2000.
Worked on several committees in SPECIAL LIBRARIES ASSOCIATION including
the President's Task Force, and Copyright Law.

FRIENDSHIP GRANT COMMITTEE which offers to any Soroptimist in the world
(except the United States) a Grant of three weeks of living with Soroptimists
in the Region . The 1998 winners were Deanny Fremaux, President of SI
Rheims, France, and Erika Heuser, President of SI Brussels, Belgium. In
1999, Keng Chee Tay, President of SI Kuantan, Malaysia, was our winner.
"This all grew out of the fact that I was a Friendship Grant
winner to New Zealand South and found it to be such a
rewarding experience that I wanted other Soroptimists in the
world to have the same experience, and the opportunity to
visit us."
