Informal meeting of the Mystery Writers of America Southern California
Chapter
Mystery Writers of America was established for the purpose of promoting
and protecting the interests and welfare of mystery writers and to increase
the esteem and literary recognition given to the genre.

Dr. Kinman is a former Board member of Sisters in Crime / Los Angeles
Sisters in Crime is a nonprofit, international organization of women
and men dedicated to combating discrimination against women in the mystery
writing field, educating publishers and the general public about inequities
in the treatment of women authors and raising the level of awareness of
the contributions of women to the field.
Meets the first Sunday of every month in the Community Room at the South
Pasadena Library, 1115 El Centro St., South Pasadena, from 2- 4 pm. Interesting
speakers, get-acquainted time, and books for sale by Linda Bivens of Crime
Time Books.
Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators is the only professional organization dedicated to service
the people who write, illustrate, or share a vital interest in children's
literature.
The Miniature Book Society
is an international non-profit organization. Its purposes are to sustain
an interest in all phases of miniature books, to provide a forum for the
exchange of ideas and to serve as a clearing house for information about
miniature books.
